By all accounts, the weather was pretty awful with torrential rain, so congratulations to all those that braved such conditions. (The Swifts were on the East Course at Saunton in similar conditions but did quite well and were pushing those ahead of them, just so you know). The winner on count back with a remarkable 38 was Michael 'Birdy' Bird from Chris Wadham, Kelvin Oxley and the unfortunate Oli 'Yardy' Yard who lost his Crispy shot because he was in the winnings on 35. In the losers' tank were Lakey Lawrence, Not-In-the-lee of the wind, Bling, and Andy 'dead-eye' Smith who sailed in early. Some of the cards were remarkable for their soggyness and there were various comments about the joy of playing in the rain. It's account time again so look out for your bar bills to go up or down. The figures will be on the mens' notice board from tomorrow.
